Ever since Mat Hayman won Paris-Roubaix on Sunday, their Backstage Pass video of the race was going to be something special – and they haven’t disappointed us, it’s a cracker.
The race means more than any other to the 37-year-old, who has ridden it 15 times – and the behind the scenes video shows exactly what his win meant to everyone involved with the team.
There’s also an absolute comedy gold moment involving the team car and a French policeman the second Hayman crosses the line, too.
Meanwhile, today, the design has been unveiled of Australia’s new $5 bill that will come into circulation from September – and some wag has already suggested an alternate version that replaces the queen’s head with Hayman’s, among other tweaks.

I love these backstage passes
I love these backstage passes. The other teams should try to compete on the media front – you would think that Sky, with their TV backing, ought to be able to roll a mean camera.

Sky get the Rapha treatment and I have got to admit the latest one featuring Geraint Thomas is rather good.

Great video, great win, great
Great video, great win, great team spirit.
Just one point… team car drivers really should keep their hands on the wheel not over their eyes, and look at the road ahead not the in car live TV stream.
A great story, I think it
A great story, I think it says a lot about the guy seeing how happy everyone else is for him.
