A group of cyclists riding across the United States have posted an advert on the listings website Craigslist – after their life-size cardboard cutout of Justin Bieber went missing.

The likeness of the Canadian pop star was last seen in the Colorado desert, and while the riders don’t necessarily want it back, they would appreciate its new custodian to send them a picture so they can be sure it is in safe hands.

The advert, under the heading “lost: Justin bieber cardboard cutout [serious]” and accompanied by the picture above reads:

I'm on a cross country cycling trip with a group called bike and build. we had a cardboard cutout of Justin bieber that was donated to us in Hannibal, MO to mark our lunch spots. typically we would hide him somewhere where he would watch us hungrily. last known whereabouts of the biebs was off route 50 near a solar powered device at the top of a hill. he will be leaning on a rock looking at you with a sly grin on his face. if found, send pictures please! also if possible we can arrange a delivery for the biebs.

We’re hoping they receive good news soon – although if the cutout happens to be found by Orlando Bloom, we wouldn’t hold out much hope…
