I nearly brought him in 2

I nearly brought him in 2 days ago but went with Van Aert. I never thought twice about taking Schmid out this morning … regretting it now!

    Damn !!! It looks like

Damn !!! It looks like Narvaez is going to score again.

I had him in for 2 stages and he did ZERO, leave him out and……..

Has he tried to get in the

Has he tried to get in the break already ?

The stage today is pretty short, so if the break doesn’t form quickly Bora might fancy setting it up for Roglic, although tomorrow is a far better stage for him.

Stage 17 & 18 also possibilities for TDG.

Being as it’s his last grand

Being as it’s his last grand tour he must surely have pencilled in a day to go in the beak… and this is surely his best option of all the remaining stages now that there is no one to protect. He might not get in it but I’ll bet many quids he’s thinking about it. We demand a TDG breakaway.

I took him out yesterday as

I took him out yesterday as he looked to be fading fast. The race could end up like an elimination race at this rate! And I agree with Dr Watson, if you could design a TDG stage, this would be it! Not sure he has the legs any more sadly.

    Eetvelt was second last

Eetvelt was second last yesterday after struggling the last two days.  I suspect he was sick.

    Eetvelt not starting stage 12

Eetvelt not starting stage 12. Campenaerts, Moniquet, and even TDG free to fill their boots in the breaks. Got to be a swan song for TDG today. We’ll see.

Yes, it would be a shame if Gall ends up as a super domestique. Decathlon have enough decent climbers on the team to provide support without relying on Gall but they are all invisible once they have finished blocking the road! Paret-Peintre is so small he wouldn’t even be able to do that very well!

    Carlos Rodrigues is looking

Carlos Rodrigues is looking good for white, he has improved a lot as the race has progressed.

Hopefully Decathlon don’t completely sacrifice Gall for O’Connor, Gall has looked good on the steep climbs.

    It is an intriguing race.

It is an intriguing race. Half way through and still no clear pattern in GC or KoM. Young rider still a three horse race too. O’Connor seems fine on the big climbs but struggles on the punchy stuff. A lot of big climbs to come so does that tilt it back in his favour?

    Dunbar saved me too.
    Dunbar saved me too.

Resisted the WVA change, caused me a few nerves before the break was settled

    Tomorrow is another

Tomorrow is another possibility  for him but the final 2kms might be too steep for him, unless he has ridden everyone off his wheel.

Will O’Connor still be in red on Friday.
