The Tory Party conference is not going well, our Prime Minister has declared his hand in the confected “War on Motorists” debate, which has been the topic of several posts. Meanwhile a Road CC blogger has posted a “Not Close Passes” article which led to a discussion on driving styles and standards on our roads.

What if we brought these two topics together in this season of party conferences?

Close Pass by Black Merc, which neither slows down or deviates 1mm from it’s course. The overtaking driver is looking over to the right. – Suella Braverman.

Perfect overtake by Nissan Leaf – Caroline Lucas

Close pass by Chaufer driven black limo closely followed by another from a black Jag with one of those 1970s nodding donkies on the parcel shelf – Rishi Sunak followed by sycophant Grant Schapps.

Car comes up behind, dithers, misses several good opportunities to overtake, starts to pass then abandons the manoeuvre – Keir Starmer.

Terrible punishment pass by a huge Chevrolet Pickup with blacked out windows, blasting the horn – Donald Trump is on holiday.

How likely is it for Sunak to

How likely is it for Sunak to be in a limo anyway?

Surely he’d be in a helicopter? (but definitely a separate one from the Chancellor).

    Shurely Sunak’s limo passes

Shurely Sunak’s limo passes too close (it being a big vehicle) with Sunak blithely unaware in the back, then Grant “four names” Shapps also does the same, shrugging his shoulders and guesturing at Sunak in front.  (Police were later unable to trace the registered keeper  – confronted, Shapps “over-denied” it was him driving…)

Keir then follows doing exactly the same but yelling that it’s Sunak’s fault that the streets are too narrow.
