Running this one up the flagpole to see who salutes…

I just don’t remember this being a thing until recently, now it seems a daily occurrence.
Could it be that there are drivers not up to the job, too many cars; should houses be made to ride in single file, shops put on high viz, why are we putting newer buildings in danger like this, it’s irresponsible.

‘A Dorset Police spokesperson said: “Dorset Police was called at 12.48pm on Thursday, August 13, to a report of a collision involving a car and a wall outside Iceland on Poole Road in Bournemouth.

“It is reported that the vehicle was also in collision with a pedestrian, but they did not require medical treatment.” ‘

    I thought Audi and BMW

I thought Audi and BMW drivers could drive hands free as they are able to steer with the dick on their forehead?

There is a high level of

There is a high level of depression at the BMW factories, with the staff that fit indicators. They know their job is utterly pointless. Even replacement robots have spontaneously blown fuses.

    “A four year ban”
This seems to me to be a reasonable punishment! I am mortified to find myself failing to condemn the magistrates

I guess even Audi and BMW

I guess even Audi and BMW drivers have to keep at least one hand on the wheel.

    You are warned when you

You are warned when you collect a new BMW not to use them as it confuses other drivers. I tend to indicate left when I am turning right just for a laugh as it double confuses the poor people who can’t afford German cars.

Well I never – I always thought they were merely decorative on BMWs and Audis

So he was driving a BMW X5

So he was driving a BMW X5 which is the size of a house, was three times over the limit and this was the second time he got caught and he gets….

A four year ban” and “Magistrates sentenced Page to a 12-month community order with a rehabilitation activity requirement for 15 days and 80 hours unpaid work. He was ordered to pay £135 costs and a £114 surcharge. His ban will be reduced by a quarter if he completes a drink-drivers’ rehabilitation course.”

So basically a slap on the wrist. He will do it again…and again…and again.  Next time, he should go to jail for a spell and never get his licence back.

On a less ranty note, I do love one of the comments below the piece: “” It became apparent he was under the influence of alcohol. Officers could smell alcohol on his breath and he had been using his indicators“…. School boy error that for any BMW driver. Row with girlfriend ends with drink-driver smashing BMW into tree

Now Marc Page has been handed a lengthy driving ban

Page, of North Street, Leek, pleaded guilty to drink-driving. The court heard he had a previous drink-driving conviction from 2020.

Alan Dawson, mitigating, said Page was at his girlfriend’s and started drinking at tea-time. But she received a call from Page’s ex. That led to Page deciding to leave. Mr Dawson said: “Unfortunately he decided to take his car. He simply wanted to get away as soon as possible. On the way home he made contact with something in the road and as a result he lost control and hit a tree.”
