Running this one up the flagpole to see who salutes…

I just don’t remember this being a thing until recently, now it seems a daily occurrence.
Could it be that there are drivers not up to the job, too many cars; should houses be made to ride in single file, shops put on high viz, why are we putting newer buildings in danger like this, it’s irresponsible.

‘A Dorset Police spokesperson said: “Dorset Police was called at 12.48pm on Thursday, August 13, to a report of a collision involving a car and a wall outside Iceland on Poole Road in Bournemouth.

“It is reported that the vehicle was also in collision with a pedestrian, but they did not require medical treatment.” ‘

That’s a bit forward!  But yes; pop up any time you like.  Except when the buses have been at the bridges.

Yet another black mark against self-driving buses – or is it rail infra?  This time Kilmarnock:

[quote]Four people have been hurt after a double decker bus crashed into a railway bridge tearing its roof off in Kilmarnock.

The driver claims he “accidentally stepped on the gas too hard”.

Does he have a career producing album covers?

Think the building itself was largely unscathed, with the lamppost and fence taking the brunt of the impact.

Yeah – and one of the passengers had the gall to say that the *driver* had taken a wrong turn!
Fortunately the BBC was able to ignore that and suggest reasons why the bus might not have seen the forest of warning signs and – you know – the massive bridge.

And they note a bus did the same last year – won’t someone find a way of helping these poor buses? Perhaps they could just get rid of the dangerous railways with their deceptive bridges?

Injuries in this one, thoughts with the victims – incidents like this in the past have been horrific.
