Running this one up the flagpole to see who salutes…

I just don’t remember this being a thing until recently, now it seems a daily occurrence.
Could it be that there are drivers not up to the job, too many cars; should houses be made to ride in single file, shops put on high viz, why are we putting newer buildings in danger like this, it’s irresponsible.

‘A Dorset Police spokesperson said: “Dorset Police was called at 12.48pm on Thursday, August 13, to a report of a collision involving a car and a wall outside Iceland on Poole Road in Bournemouth.

“It is reported that the vehicle was also in collision with a pedestrian, but they did not require medical treatment.” ‘

Why is “a seizure caused by a doctor changing anti-seizure medication” treated any differently from “a seizure”?

Because it’s resulting from a known cause that can be removed or adjusted; when anti-seizure medications are changed they quite often cause a temporary resumption of seizures until the patient acclimatises to the new medication and/or the correct dosage is found. Once that happens, and six months fit-free is a sufficient period to prove that it has, the patient is no more likely to experience a recurrence than they were on their previous medication.

Presumably because it’s a one-off event and subsequent seizures aren’t considered likely if they haven’t happened within 6 months.

It’s only a year now, or six months since a first-ever seizure with no repetition or a seizure caused by a doctor changing anti-seizure medication.

Dawlish driver suffered seizure before smashing into wall

He was only 20 minutes away from the motorway

A motorist who smashed into a wall after suffering a seizure at the wheel has vowed never to drive again. Mark Garwood crashed into the boundary of a residential property in Dawlish.

A check on the police national computer revealed his licence had previously been revoked due to his epilepsy and he should not have been driving. Garwood told a court he thought he was safe and legal to drive but the crash had made him think again.

The judge accepted it was not a deliberate decision to breach the rules  and fined him £160.

Deputy district judge Peter Donnison said: “I find you are genuinely remorseful and this arose more out of oversight than a deliberate decision to breach the rules. You recognise the error you made on that night.”

The judge did not disqualify Garwood and added three penalty points. His licence is still revoked.

How can that possibly not be a deliberate decision?

Judges are just making a mockery of the laws around driving if they will accept people driving whilst being disqualified and being a clear danger to other people.
