Running this one up the flagpole to see who salutes…

I just don’t remember this being a thing until recently, now it seems a daily occurrence.
Could it be that there are drivers not up to the job, too many cars; should houses be made to ride in single file, shops put on high viz, why are we putting newer buildings in danger like this, it’s irresponsible.

‘A Dorset Police spokesperson said: “Dorset Police was called at 12.48pm on Thursday, August 13, to a report of a collision involving a car and a wall outside Iceland on Poole Road in Bournemouth.

“It is reported that the vehicle was also in collision with a pedestrian, but they did not require medical treatment.” ‘

Crash in Poole pub car park caught on CCTV

The pub car park – I’ve long seen these a contradiction in terms. I would not want to have sold the alcohol to someone that led to someone else getting hurt. Glad the wall intervened this time.

    You use your insurer to
You use your insurer to recover the monies.
I’m guessing in that instance, it was taking so long, they stumped up the money before it has been recovered.

as it doesnt read like the car driver is automatically coughing up for it, despite being clearly an idiot and at fault

I think he is! The Council/ Construction company are not going to be dim enough to miss this easy winner. Big insurance claim = big rise in premiums.

That should be a short investigation. Surely there needs to be a point where a licence is revoked because someone is too stupid, too arrogant or too angry to be allowed to drive.

    Fecking num-nuts.

Who pays to fix or redo that
Who pays to fix or redo that concrete ? as it doesnt read like the car driver is automatically coughing up for it, despite being clearly an idiot and at fault.

It’s just like here where a charity shop took nearly a year to reopen after a range rover driver tried to make it a drive thru, doesnt read like the car drivers insurance pays out for it necessarily

    Can’t help feeling it will
Can’t help feeling it will still be someone else’s fault when they interview the driver. “I was stuck behind a cyclist for at least 30 minutes so I had to go that way.”

It is boldmere island next to

It is boldmere island next to sutton park and would be recognisable to anyone who watched the triathlon at the CWG as the entrance and exit to the park they used went that route. Looking at the damage on the island and the position of the car, they bombed it down the side of the park from Sutton side (which is stupidly a 40mph road anyway) at 70+ and it was too wet to slow down so just went straight on.

The cycle hire on the map is just a docking station.
