Roster update has been done so you can now pick your teams 🙂
While the TTT was fairly straightforward the ITT will be significantly more difficult, not least because of credit limitations. With the big three favourites all over 30 credits it severly restricts your ability to pick from the mid-priced guys, riders like Chavanel, Westra or Pinotti are all priced quite highly so making the best use of your cheap picks will be key!

On the Cancellara thing, I’m genuinely torn. Even if this isn’t his primary focus, the fact that he’s riding it at all surely means he’ll be taking it semi-seriously? I’m mean, he’ll at least place well, right?
Also, going to say right now that I think Wiggins will take it over Martin or anyone else. Road race is anyone’s guess, though.
There are a few decent choices at 3 credits, I’ve got three possible top 20s at 3 credits in one of my teams.
Ditto on Cancellara, I can’t see him riding unless he’s going to put a proper effort it and, if he rides hard, he must be almost guaranteed top 5.
I think Martin will be hard to beat but Wiggins has the best chance and I think it could go either way.

Rasmussen and Quaade are both Danish and both were beaten by Vandborg.
Larsson won the Swedish champs over Ludvigsson.

Hmm,
Martin
Wiggins
Larsson
Rasmussen
Phinney
Malori
Chavanel
Grabsch
PinottiThat about right? Interesting mix of medium priced riders with a potential higher score than the Martin, Cancellara, Wiggins, Phinney +5 base I’m currently working with assuming Cancellara is aiming for the Road Race and not the TT.

drheaton wrote:So, what’s everyone thinking?Drop one of Cancellara, Martin or Wiggins and bring in a couple of mid-priced guys (Castroviejo/Malori etc)?
Pick the probable top three and spread the remaining credits around?
Or pick the probable top four (Phinney/Chava or someone similar) and just go for really cheap others?
I’m leaning towards the latter but if Phinney or whoever I pick as my 4th placed finisher has a bad day I’ll be much worse off than those who edge their bets.
There is another way…pick a purist team without martin, wiggo, fab or kwia, and pray for a thunderstorm and wind change as they leave the start gate….i like a gamble. ;0)

I have a sneaky feeling about a couple of the 6-12 credit guys, just need to work out if I can squeeze them in and still keep the favourites…
