Tour de Romandie – Prologue

My team for this one is:

    Froome
    Martin
    Porte
    Gesink
    Frank
    Majka
    Dennis
    Wyss (M)
    Van Rensburg

I think the climbers will do better than they usually do in a prologue but that the TTers may still come out on top.  My money is on Martin for the win, Froome, Gesink, Porte, Frank and the likes of Peraud and Spilak to get close with a smattering of TT specialists (Tuft, Bono, Malori) there or there abouts.  Don't see sprinters competing in this one.

Shame – same with Grivko, he’s well down. Could be that my good run will come to an end this week if today is anything to go by!

Mind you its quite surreal watching it without any sound or the likes of Harmon bleating on in the background.

Yeah, I thought it’d be a tough climb (it’s rated cat 3) and that GC time triallers would likely take it but I thought pure TTers would do better.

Nice to see Kelderman doing well, hope he does well at the Giro too although he’ll be working in support of Gesink.

Yeah, think I got this wrong as well, it looks like the main GC guys will be taking it today – I thought the climb would be less selective than it seems to be.

Most of the top guys are in the last 30 to go, so will be loads more changes yet. Looking at my two Astana guys to light it up and get me to a half-decent result!

Gah, dropped Rujano at 10 to 12 today in order to pick up Morabito.

For what it’s worth though, Rujano will go into the Giro as Vaconsoleil leader so he was always going to have to try and ride into some form this week.

Still, plenty of big names still to come.

Froome was last man on the list published earlier on the official site, so if he has dropped out it was very very late

As for my standard team, 1 and 6 at the moment, a long way to go though
