    Maybe genuine…but in case someone had lost one …. thought I’d point it out.

    I would run a mile from anyone selling like that!

    I have bought higher value things on ebay, but always collection in person, with a chance to inspect the goods. There’s nothing to stop you then handing over the payment by Paypal, on your smartphone, while the seller looks on.

    It means the seller has proof of postage and, if it’s a signed for service, proof of delivery.

    There’s a scam where buyers collect in person and open a dispute claiming they have never received the goods. Unless the seller can prove it was collected (unlikely) ebay will judge in favour of the buyer and refund them.
