I went for 8 different nationalities as i think the final selection is unlikely to include a clump of riders from one nation.Nordhaug and Boassen-Hagen are the exception as Nordhaug’s form is high from the Canadian races and I think EBH can technically be counted as British as I reckon the Sky boys will work with him.

    Boonen
    Degenkolb
    Boassen Hagen
    Valverde
    Duggan
    Gallopin
    Nordhaug
    Ulissi
    Clarke

Well, i picked my team and went off to work BUT before i went my mrs asked if she could pick a team. Now she normally doesn’t bother and i get “you on that computer again” so i quickly explained the points and 2 riders per team rule and we had a small side bet confident that i would win.

After a few minutes she had written out a team which on paper looked quite good. When asked about the team she said “those 2 are from Sky and the rest i just liked their names :O

Her team was Gilbert, EBH, Valverde, JTL, Albasini, Henao, Bazayev, Ferrari and Ulissi. A grand total of 141 bloody points. Needless to say i was not a happy bunny X(

Think thats only the case in stage races.

    How can Johan Vansummeren be
How can Johan Vansummeren be part of the dream team with 5 points? He did not finish.
Edit: I found the answer: “Team bonus – by country: 5 Points for each participating rider from the same country

So every rider get’s those points they just have to start in the race.

Dang, wanted Gilbert but was too expensive. 2, 10, 14. Terrible, after going 1-5 on the TT. Picked the wrong Aussie and went with Haussler.

    1, 11, 14, 19 and 20. Gerrans
1, 11, 14, 19 and 20. Gerrans and Sagan a bit disappointing. Should have gone with Valverde and Freire as I first thought. I thought Kolobnev was going to get a high place at one point but he got nothing in the end. Not a bad race though and JTL did ok for his first time in such a race. Could do well in some of the classics next year.
