Not sure how this one is gonna go, personally I think it will end up in a sprint today. Its stages like today, stage 3 and stage 4 that the sprinters will want to have an impact, however it could go either way. Stage 8 being the only true sprint stage.

My team is set as I wont be back on till the deadline has passed (but i will post it later)

Gkam, ive had to ditch my weapon due to the transfers I wanna make for tomorrow, ive gone abit more conservative

I think it isn’t such a radical strategy at all! Sounds like all of us have the same idea đŸ™‚

My DS are one mountains guy, one GC contender, one TT specialist, one breakaway guy, and one sprinter!

my strategy for this one is TT specialists and wild card picks in the bottom, and medium priced ars in the top section, and probably leave it purist, but we will see. I’ve already changed my settled team. Problem here is that there is really nobody much after page 1 of the ds table and they are quite high priced, so does not leave much spare for the stars. Hopefully a couple of cheap will come out of the pack and give some value. I have picked two already.

Same for me – trying to go
Same for me – trying to go for DS that I can basically leave as-is for the duration (with one exception, a sprinty-type that I thought I’d take a chance on today, just to be different really…).

And from what you say TER it is not beyond the realms that we have the same 4 stars – your description could certainly apply to mine too…

You plan sounds similar to mine! id say 3 of my 5 DS’s are for the mountains, 1 can sprint, 1 is a decent all round guy and should be good in the ITT

As for my stars 1 is an out and out sprinter, 2 are able to cope with some lumpy stuff and the other is not a pure sprinter but if the sprinters get dropped he is the next likely to win

Taking a radical strategy, my DSs are all mountain goats and breakaway specialists and I do not intend to change them during the race.

I am going with 4 “sprinters” as star riders.
Transfer two “sprinters” out on stage 2
Transfer two “sprinters” back for stage 3
do not spend any transfers for stage 4
use 2, 3 or 4 transfers for star GC & ITT specialists for stage 5 ITT
use 2, 3 or 4 transfers for star GC and climbers for stage 6
do not use any transfers stage 7
and use 4 transfers for the pure sprinters on stage 8
