who’s going premium then?

    Reading through the new info, it’s not entirely clear if you can win the bike if you don’t go premium?

    “Podium prizes can only be won by premium users.”

    So, presumably, if you don’t go premium, and you play the Giro competition, even if you were to come first in the points overall, you wouldn’t win the bike?

    Or have I read that wrong?

    If you started Giro standard, found yourself on top of the table, could you go premium on the last day to win the bike?!

    As I have already paid Ā£7, I would be annoyed if someone could/did.

    It depends on how obscure
    It depends on how obscure your forum races are going to be really :/

    You could set one up a spreadsheet the Halford Tour Series, nice pre-curser to the ToBritain with some of the same teams/riders involved.

    I’m signed up and like the idea of extra races, and extra features (fingers crossed for multiple teams per account so I can run my purist team in the TdSuisse too). It’s nice to see the new system (where you can pick a team for each race in advance so I can pick my TdF team now :D) rolled out to everyone too. I think it’ll really come into it’s own next year when there’s a full calendar of premium races, I think some of the ones from earlier in the season (like the ToQatar, Pais Vasco, Catalunya and Romandie) would fit nicely in the premium calendar without diminishing the main game.

    It’ll be interesting to see whether the people usually at the top of the tables will sign up too in hope of winning a bike or whether it’ll just be the regulars competing.

    Fingers crossed it’s a success and the game continues to thrive for years to come.

    Nope, that’s how I read it, prizes for top three are limited to premium users but by the sounds of it there’ll be non-premium prizes too, just not Ā£2k bikes šŸ™‚
