Gkam, blame the guy that got
Gkam, blame the guy that got these two tours included.

I was looking forward to a lovely long, free February until Paris Nice.

If I’d have had my way, Het Nieuwesblad would have been included, along with Kuurne – Brussels and back. Commonly referred to as the SEASON OPENERS by old Belgian men.

    😐

Yeah, if you went from the North West of Oman to the South East of England then it would be alot closer, i could only find coordinates in a fast search for Muscat, thats why i used it for reference

    Well I wasn’t factoring in
Well I wasn’t factoring in longitude or actual distance London to Muscat – just drawing an imaginary straight line of longitude down from Cornwall and moving Oman west onto that (which would place it roughly in Mauritania, about 3,500km below the UK and getting on for 3,000km above the Equator. Certainly not halfway, but closer in terms of latitude to UK than you’d assume.

And still in the Northern Hemisphere 😉

(And obviously those are very rough back of a fag packet calculations…)

    Distance from London to
    Distance from London to Muscat
Distance is 5839 kilometers or 3629 miles or 3153 nautical miles

And using the same Muscat, to the Equator works out at roughly 1611 miles using latitude and longitude and an algorithm is known as the Great Circle distance. :B :B

    Are you sure about that?
Today’s stage crossed the Tropic of Cancer, i always thought that was pretty close to the equator?

Well, the riders I already had did well and the transfers did nothing, but as I’m building towards tomorrow we’ll have to see. Boonen’s done ok considering he’s not supposed to be trying.

Almost the same here 5 of the 6 (Guardini the odd one out) I kept scored points 174 in all, the 3 I transferred in 3 points (Fuglsang 8th overall)

Hoping the 177 points is relatively better the yesterdays 182 which was =62nd and saw me dropped 2 spots overall (even if it did move me up 1 place in the Tour of Oman comp).

Though I do expect the winning score for today to exceed 220 points

GREIPEL, SAGAN, GALLOPIN, BOUHANNI, SUTTON, KOHLER, NAVARDAUSKAS & COOKE were all popular picks ( up until today) even CHAVANEL was not out of the question, though anybody who all DE NEGRI needs a special crystal ball award

    I’ve been complaining about
I’ve been complaining about the lack of coverage of Oman since the start, yes i got a decent score yesterday, but that still doesn’t make up for the fact that there is another race on, WITH TV coverage that should have been put in and not Oman

Oman was NEVER scheduled to have ANY live coverage at all

The reason i got a decent score yesterday, along with most others is because i stuck with who i know, I cant see anyone to see if they look good for a break tomorrow because there is no coverage until the next stage is finished
