I still can;t quite get what’s in it for the other team members, glad though I am for team GB etc.

Especially aside from the kudos, pros are effectively riding for a competing pro team’s rider where next season the winner’s team gets various benefits from his holding the rainbow. Tho its possible of course THIS time around that cav will possibly end up on team GB/Sky – we’ll wait and see.

same goes in some ways for the Olympic medals… riders qualify for the Olympics to in effect be told that they will not be winning a medal but helping someone else get one.
