95km down and only 72 to go. Still a group of 19 in front but their lead has been trimmed from 5m 37secs to 5m 15sec….c’mon Sky 🙁

76km gone and the group is now 19 riders with the other 3 having caught the original 16.

Theoretically it leaves Duarte only 1 min 54secs down on the GC

And your break for today is:

    158 L. Sánchez (ESP, RAB) +10:17
    44 Moncoutié (FRA, COF) +10:28
    55 Oroz (ESP, EUS) +26:46
    137 E. Petrov (RUS, AST) +44:10
    82 Horrach (ESP, KAT) +46:30
    21 Bernabéu (ESP, ACG) +59:58
    113 Intxausti (ESP, MOV) +1:09:11
    125 V. Reynés (ESP, OLO) +1:13:25
95 Ai. Pérez (ESP, LAM) +1:20:50
    105 O’Grady (AUS, LEO) +1:21:00
    18 Montaguti (ITA, ALM) +1:23:17
    208 Paulinho (POR, RSH) +1:29:10
    71 M. Albasini (SUI, THR) +1:41:59
    34 Quinziato (ITA, BMC) +1:42:10
    25 Palomares (ESP, ACG) +1:44:39
    165 J. Jørgensen (DEN, SBS) +1:51:57

I have Quinziato and Moncoutie in the break. A break this big will fracture over time though, and some of these guys (Quinziato, for example) aren’t exactly climbers. Currently they have 3:10 on the peloton as they reach the foot of the Cat 2 climb.

27km in and the pack are still together after the first hill. Silly question, but how long are the ‘neutralised zones’ typically? Today’s must have been nearly non-existent with the first climb starting right off.

    Gkam,

I don’t “rely” on the bookies to choose my riders. It’s just a pointer amongst many other pieces of information. I have however found it extremely useful. Ever since I started using it, my scores have improved hugely…..

    I wouldn’t rely on paddy
I wouldn’t rely on paddy power to be honest, but in my view, If J-Rod is on form, he’ll have it easy tomorrow

Wiggo is in a catch 22, does he work for himself and try get some time, i think he’s in a perfect position is it was the last week, but i think he’ll help out Froome for the moment as it suits him fine not being in Red as its like having a big bullseye on your back

So with Sky playing cat and mouse i think they might get caught out Fuggly will drop time tomorrow as its a hard finish, so i can see Nibali moving up a place in the GC, but i wouldn’t think any of my team are going to win

If i had money, i would put it firmly on LL Sanchez tomorrow depending on how he feels, But i do have 2 Rabo in, so that could give me an extra 10 points 😀

the bookies have got J Rod up
the bookies have got J Rod up to win it. Funny because he didn’t do too well the other day. I have put Nibali in myself.
