At last, a transfer might pay off. Brought Hoogerland and Duque into my team last night given the lumpy nature of the stage (and the Hoogerman’s repeated breaks at the Giro), and they’re part of a 5 man breakaway with a 5’45” gap at 55K, with a tailwind to boot.

Other breakaway members: Roux, Malori, Westra (so two VCD riders in there)

Gilbert for the win today :D

Don’t really care if it’s Gilbert or Thor… as long as it is one of those two :D

    How about EBH?

    Well they are talking up
Well they are talking up Cancellara but cant see it

Gilbert will go for it as he only has 5 points on Rojas in the green now, but he might also help “gripe-all” after his moaning yesterday

But i would like to see Gilbert, Hushovd, Evans and Jerome rolling home is last again 😀

Any ideas who were 3rd – 6th over the first Cat 3 climb? Since the riders only get points for 1st and 2nd, no-one seems to have mentioned who followed Hoogerland and Roux over the top.

It might not matter to the Tour, but it does for this game!

don’t think it does. the rationale for the KM points is that the number of scoring riders is the number of points available.

Before the tour started the Wiki page stated that’s be 1 through 6 for Cat3 climbs, which seemed a bit excessive. And it was; it’s only 1&2, so only 1&2 will score in the game.

Sorry dont know and Eurosport just telling me that Hoogerland took it and is in polka dot now

What i want to know is why aren’t Katusha putting people in breaks, they aint got a team that can do anything anywhere else, so they should be chancing it

Tail wind, a few hills, 11.17
Tail wind, a few hills, 11.17 lead and chucking it down with rain, could be a nice day for a break
