Wiggle 2011 New Forest Sportive … on a Single Speed

    I’m doing the above ride this Sunday. Anyone else going to be tackling the relatively flat-looking terrain of the new Forest on a single-speed or fixie? I’m sure I can’t be the only one. Hope I’m not.

    If my brother-in-law speeds off on his carbon-fibre road-bike I might need some company 🙂

    i did the Gridiron audax(ish)
    i did the Gridiron audax(ish) last Oct round the new forest, wish i’d taken my single speed.. not a hill in sight. you’ll be fine.

    I did the Lionheart the other
    I did the Lionheart the other week on a 2spd and didn’t see any bikes with less gears than that…

    I can’t imagine you’ll be the only one facing up to the challenge with a single speed bike, report back and let us all know how many fixies and single speeds and any other non-race bikes show up! 🙂
