Discharged from physio

Today is a land mark day for me in my rehabilitation.
Today, 15 months after being hit by a car and getting a shattered knee, internal bone damage to the knee, a severed PCL, broken ulna, dislocated elebow, 11 broken ribs, bleeding in the lungs, internal bleeding and 3 fractured vertebrae … I’ve finally been discharged from physio.
I’ve spent 11 months in physio, twice a week, 2 hours a session; my current riding is limited to around 20 miles without any hills … So I’m looking forwards to getting an e-bike and returning to longer rides.

Im not going to lie, I’m not up for soloing just yet; I draw encouragement from the group.

That’s some journey OFG. Heres to accelerated recovery now you’ve been cut loose by the physio. Stay safe out there friend.

    Thank you giff77 🙂

    It’s been a long battle.

You take care out there too.

Blimey, good to hear you are on the mend after that.  Enjoy getting back out there!

    Thanks PRSboy.

Few things finer to burn away a crap day than being out in the bike.

I look forwards to being out for longer 🙂

    Cheers.

At the moment, the weather is against me as its pretty wintery; but I managed to get out in -2 on Saturday for a cheeky 20 miles for a coffee 🙂

I’m looking forwards to it … although I lost 10kg in a week in HDU (I had it to loose though).

Didn’t take long before it all went back on … plus an additional 10kg.

When you can only use one arm and one leg it kinda limits the – useful – exercise you can do

You should change your name to Oldreconstructedfatgit.

Hope the eBike works out for you. Best wishes for your ongoing rehabilitation and return to health.

    Now there’s a handle I could get in to … 🙂
