OK so I need to replace the truly awful pedals and toe clip combo that came with my Allez.

Thing is, sorry for going on about it, but I am on a tight budget so any recommendations?

If not, would it look out of place to pick up some of those mks pedals and classic style clips?

Don’t know how tight your budget is but these Shimano R540 pedals are good with decent bearings which I used through a harsh British winter with no problems.

Shoes worth a trawl around Wiggle Chain Reaction Evans etc see whos got what on offer and what styles you like. If you go with the R540 pedals above you need the shoes to be Shimano Spd SL compatible.

I would avoid Ebay purely on the basis that you might need to return them.
