Well, here we go, the mountains! 🙂 I hope Valverde will ruin Chris Froome’s party! 🙂

But, ugh, we should do something about the budget next year. This is my guess at what the most popular team will be tomorrow:

    37.5 Christopher Froome
    31.3 Tejay Van Garderen
    34.6 Nairo Quintana
    35.5 Joaquin Rodriguez
    17.1 Andre Greipel

    and 4 3.0+ riders… How sad… 😐

    It’s still a fun game, though! 🙂

    NAIRO ALEXANDER QUINTANA
    NAIRO ALEXANDER QUINTANA (MOV)
    CHRISTOPHER FROOME (SKY)
    FREDERIC BRUN (BSE)
    TEJAY VAN GARDEREN (BMC)
    CHRISTOPHE LAPORTE (COF)
    WARREN BARGUIL (TGA)
    DANIEL TEKLEHAIMANOT (MTQ)
    ANDRE GREIPEL (LTS)
    JULIAN DAVID ARREDONDO (TFR)

There you go. No great shakes for me today but no changes planned for the next few days.

if you want to be in the top 30%, then maybe that’s your strategy. it’s probably a good pick. aiming for above 1,200th overall isn’t really pulling up trees though, is it? and the game is won and lost on the difficult-to-call stages, not the summit finishes. we all know who’s likely to be in the mix today.

    Apart ffrom having Froome, I
Apart ffrom having Froome, I still think it’s too early to be populating my team with all the big GC names. I think I am more likely to get a stage victory form someone like Rodriguez or Bardet.

    Enrique, as history shows us,
Enrique, as history shows us, when we all pick the couple of fave riders such as Froome, Teejay and Nairo, then it’s the day that Contador and Nibali and the rest outshine them.
    Nothing is certain in cycling!

    I’ve had an astonishing run
I’ve had an astonishing run so far (by my standards – 1358 pts and 120th overall).

Bizarrely this would be easier if Froome *wasn’t* in yellow, because he’d be guaranteed to attack. As it is, he might just sit and mark everyone and finish 25th.

Today might be Bastille Day but it’s not a day for a big French break. Bardet or Pinot might have a bash but I reckon the winner will be someone from a smaller team who slips away, or a domestique let off the leash like Majka.

    Cards on the
    Cards on the table…

    Froome
    Quintana
    Tejay
    Barguil
    Vuillermoz
    A Yates
    Tekleyhaimanot
    M Wyss
    Tulik

Trying to minimise transfers until we see who has the real climbing form, but feel like the two Frenchies are worth the risk on Bastille Day. Out of interest, how many transfers do people have left? I’ve got 23…

What about Perichon, he has already been in 3 breaks, surely he will go again?

    TJ froooooome Nairo
A whole bunch of Frenchies and some wild cards for the break.

Hopefully a bigger break to soak up all the sprint points might see 10 + for a change.

    Don’t be ridiculous Enrique.
Don’t be ridiculous Enrique. Or are you just trolling now?

Budget spot-on as per usual this season – keep it up guys!
