Not sure why having a peak on your helmet is against ‘the Rules’ as mine has been useful in early morning sun; with my large head a cap under trhe helmet is not an option. Maybe at 65 I could get a certificate of exemption, which could include my touring rear rack.

Yeah its about style and “
Yeah its about style and ” Tradition”. If I want stickers all over my bike to reflect my tastes, things I am interested in and add some personality to it whose gonna stop me?

Off the shelf stock bikes IMHO look weak when nothing has been personalised. The bike is as generic as everyone else’s. What makes yours special? You feel ?

Certainly not a website full of made up rules.

Chap on a club ride a few weeks ago had a peak on his helmet. He crashed, the peak unclipped and cut his forehead.

But really, “The Rules” are all about a particular “style”. If you don’t like that style, don’t get wound up about it.
