There has – Philip Deignan won there in 2009. Cracking finish.

Thanks for letting me know… I was frantically writing my PhD thesis at the time and never even had the time to watch 1 minute of that Vuelta… But it’s good to know they’ve not forgotten about that finish…

Wow, Il Lombardia returns to its finish from the 90’s in Bergamo. I’m happy <:P I absolutely love that climb towards the old gate of the city, with its peculiar cobbles… I pretty much hated that guy, but the image of Oscar Camenzind attacking on those cobbles with the rainbow jersey on in the late ’90s is definitely unforgettable… where has this finish been for so long??? ~X(
