Vuelta Pais Vasco – Stage 3

My instinct today was to make some changes, drop Matthews/Swift/Ratto and bring in Kwiatowski, Cunego and another cheaper rider but I've gone against that and made no changes at all.

I'm concerned that today will go the same way as yesterday with a breakaway staying out but Orica have won this stage (similar/same route) for the last two years on a sprint finish so fingers crossed that happens again.  Also, big day tomorrow so surely the GC boys will be fairly quiet?

    Anyway:

Valverde, Contador, Peraud, Swift, Matthews, Ratto, Durasek, Fedrigo, Arroyo

    1,4,6,7,10,16,17 and a team
1,4,6,7,10,16,17 and a team mate bonus 😀 If only Koldo had placed 1 higher I’d have had my first full house 🙁 Of course I’m now screwed for tomorrow but I’ve done craply in this so far so 1 goodish day is a bonus.

    The stage finishes in Vitoria
The stage finishes in Vitoria Gasteiz, Koldo Fernandez’s home town

As it did last year when he finished 91st.

Didn’t put him in the team.

Did bring in Villella for Adam Yates though
