Sram rear mech

Sram rival medium cage rear mech has a max capacity of 36t. If I wanted to increase this without buying a new mech is it possible to buy a larger parralelogram to achieve this or would I have to consider a hanger extender type thing like Woolftooth and others produce?

Anyone have experience with this?

Not a straight answer to your question (I am training to be a government advisor) but I have used SRAM and Shimano rear mechs beyond their stated maximum by using an extender from eBay, cost about £3, has to be worth a try first. As far as I know you can’t replace the parallelogram on a SRAM rear mech to increase the capacity, the jockey cage is where the extra capacity comes from but I seem to remember reading that the short and long cage Apex mechs have a slightly different fixing position (between the main body and jockey cage) too.
