Replacing 10 speed Ultegra STI shifters

Hello,

My 10 speed Ultegra 6600 STI shifters ( the type with the cables protruding from the brake lever) are beginning to play up after 12+ years of service. I cannot easily locate new 10 speed Ultegra STI shifters with the hidden cables. Last time I looked, Ebay had used but that is a road that I do not wish to go down. An option is to install new 10 speed 105 STI shifters.

On my bike now I have the aforementioned Ultegra shifters, a 10 speed Shimano cassette, SRAM chain & an Ultegra 6600 rear mech. The rear hub is from an off the shelf Zonda wheelset purchase.

If I bought 11 speed Ultegra shifters then am I right in thinking that the cassette, chain & rear mech would all need to be replaced with parts that would support 11 speed shifting ?

I would appreciate your thoughts on my options... Thank you.

If you're looking for cheap, readily available replacement shifters, go for Tiagra 4600. They still have external cables; Shimano's early attempt at hidden cables, on the Ultegra 6700 shifters you mention, weren't great.
