Greater Anglia issues advice for Dunwich Dynamo

Something I warned had a high likelihood with the introduction of these new trains, but Greater Anglia have today issued advice to Dun run cyclists not to use their trains for travelling on both Saturday & Sunday, due to the lack of space for cyclists.

I still think Latitude (music festival held near Southwold) is scheduled that weekend so they are probably expecting more people than usual on the trains as it is anyway.

"The train operator was previously able to support the event using its 40-year-old trains"... ah, progress...

In previous years there has been return road transport but I don't think that's the case this year (although it may still change closer to the time).

Yes that's right, Southwark Cyclists say they can't get insurance for the coaches should they have to cancel, so they can't risk it:

I've booked to stay overnight in Southwold, and then riding back with the OH stopping off in a few pubs on the way. Can't wait. Should be a real adventure, with fewer participants and fewer pop-ups open.
