The misguided among us who have not seen the latest Wallace and Gromit will need to rectify the error in order to participate. One of the in-jokes during W&G films is the inclusion of visual references to other notable films- one obvious one is to The Italian Job- the proper one, not the presumably crappy American remake. While this is reference is going on there’s another reference to a justly lauded film- it’s only a couple of seconds long and it took me a while to dredge up where I had seen the gesture before- anybody know the gesture and the film?

Wes Studi simultaneously killed his career but also guaranteed work for many years, in that film 😉  I don’t think he ever played anything other than ‘dour and scary native’ again.

The Aliens etc. ones are easy

The Aliens etc. ones are easy- I chose a more difficult one. A clue: the original is a film based on a famous book about the French-Indian wars in 18th century British America
