Hi has anybody had dealings with Deporvillage or other overseas shops.

I seen some kit on deporvillage £60 cheaper than here, and it said “Taxes, duties, and import handling costs included” I emailed them 3 days ago but no reply yet.

I don’t fancy being hit by customs etc if this isn’t true.

Appreciate any heads up if anybody has used them

    Isn’t anything cycling

Isn’t anything cycling-related going to be exercise goods?

    The limit is £135 provided

The limit is £135 provided they are not “excise goods” (baccy, booze etc). Worth noting that duty and VAT are payable on the totality of the package, i.e. a pair of £100 jackets will be taxed the same as a single £200 item, so if the retailer is offering free or low-cost shipping it’s worth considering splitting your order into two or more separate orders of less than £135 each.

    I did a £100 order there in

I did a £100 order there in July which took 6 days to arrive – can’t recall any unwelcome charges.

Can also recommend Santafixie – Spain seems to have it pretty sorted following Germany’s retreat.

    I think whether you get
I think whether you get charged import duty etc depends on the value of your order. I bought a Gore Shakedry jacket a couple of years ago. I think it was over £200. I got hit for extra charges. Then, when it didn’t fit and I returned it, I got charged AGAIN for “exporting” it back to Spain.

Some of the prices on these foreign websites look tempting but there’s a reason why.

    Have bought quite a few

Have bought quite a few things at good prices from BikeInn in Spain post-Brexit, all duty & VAT inclusive, reasonable delivery charges, nothing to pay on arrival. Does take around 10 days to arrive, but if you’re not in a hurry, all good.
