So how’s everyone enjoying the Vuelta then? Not seen any of it yet, 900th overall as couldn’t make any transfers this weekend so gone all out on an uphill sprint today – could easily backfire but its time to put all eggs in one basket I think. Still have 2 transfers carrying over but have lots of ground to make up! What happened to Henao on Sunday?

    Valverde
    Ratto
    Matthews
    Meersman
    Cancellara
    Roux
    Iglinsky
    Boasson Hagen and…
Farrar! (I said I’d never do it again…)

Betancur has been ill in the run up to the race so he’s out of form, he’s specifically stated he’s looking at stage wins towards the end of the race and the worlds.

EBH is another out of sorts after his ENECO crash but he at least seems to be getting back on form.

Correct, I think that was a plan, Nibali went with the big guns of J-Rod and Valverde, Horner saw it and backed off, giving Cancellara the freedom for a few stages

Hope you’re right – I’m definitely keeping Cancellara for tomorrow anyway…

I can add 11 and 17 to that
I can add 11 and 17 to that (2,3,4,6). Astana were clearly working for Iglinsky but he bailed with one km to go which was a shame. And Ratto couldn’t quite hack it. Decent for purist thanks to Moreno, although my purist is all GC so I’m guessing won’t get much for the next three days. Great stage though!
