    Stumps

Started the forum off early as i’m away to work later.

Brought in 2 for todays stage with a mind on the TT tomorrow then hopefully will have 4 for the return to the flat on stage 5.

Todays stage is a bit lumpy but nothing to bad for most of the riders however the last climb at 8.1% over 3 km might cause a few to get dumped out of the back.

Hopefully though no change in the gc.

I think sky will post a decent time but they are effectively 2 men short to start with …..not even sure G will be starting tbh

It was in one of the emails/posts and its on the scores page.

Makes it vaguely important at least rather than the total throwaway TTTs usually are. There’ll be some decent (160+, maybe even 180+) scores tomorrow.

Damn, I didn’t notice that. Might have to rethink my strategy now.

Did that change sneak in under the radar, or was I not paying attention?

    Not sure, I doubt Movistar
Not sure, I doubt Movistar will want any of their GC guys to drop time they don’t need to so I expect them to go all out. Although, could Valverde drop off the back at the finish and let Quintana take it?

Either way, I think all the teams will be going full pelt.

Movistar/OPQS/Sky/Garmin for the win, Greenedge up there somewhere, and apparently Cannondale came with TTT focused team thinking they might be trying to defend a Sagan yellow.

1 each from SKY, OGE, MOV,
1 each from SKY, OGE, MOV, OPQ, GRM, BMC – they should all at least score, and good chance of some GC points too depending on how it all pans out. i fancy Garmin for the win and Millar for the yellow. I don’t reckon Valverde will want it?

Was really happy with my team
Was really happy with my team for tomorrow until I realised I don’t have any Sky or Movistar. Careless! Oh well, at least I have flexibility for what to do on Weds.
Team for tomorrow – OPQ, Garmin, BMC, Katusha, Orica x2, Astana, Sojasun and VCD. Could really do with a Garmin win…

    Hedging your bets eh!

Got 2 MOV, 1 OPQ, 1 SKY, 1 GAR, 1 AST (I expect 5 of those to score at least barring crashes), 1 CAN, 1 ARG, 1 COF (two of these have table points – no points for guessing who đŸ˜‰ and probably won’t score any in the TTT).
Two shots at yellow!! Thought about a pen for Gerrans in for Gavazzi but doubt if Orica will be top 5 let alone win. Gavazzi also might score in 5, which is the most difficult stage to judge of the whole first week.

Going for a MOV win (had both since stage 1), thought they’d be second to SKY originally but with all the injury problems SKY may be lucky to be top 3. MOV have stayed out of trouble and by and large out of the wind as well.

I was going to adopt your usual tactic and ignore it to save transfers but then noticed the scoring ( prior to your post) so had to make two changes , just means penalty transfers for stage 5 / 6 for me I guess đŸ˜•

Am i missing something here – can anyone explain why millar is down in the GC – he was second yesterday and appears to have had same time today? Now he’s 7th?

70-odd guys have the same time – its worked out on their finishing positions over the three days. So Gerrans/Kwiatkowski and a couple of others did well today so moved ahead of Millar.
