Giro d'Italia - Stage 3

Not to be snubbed twice, I'm starting this thread early. A win for Visconti gives him the Maglia Rosa. Felline looks a good bet, but so do Goss (climbing legs on) and Bouhanni.

I'll be outside the top 1000 after today. Dreadful.

Glad I picked Paulino...my only real scorer today...
My transfers are a bit off the wall ... I've got rid of Phinney as he seems to be doing nothing except support Evans maybe...maybe I can bring Vivianni in on Wednesday

Hi guys - anyone know what happened with the last KOM? It doesn't seem to be listed on the official site. I was watching it live, and the break was clearly caught well before they crested the Sella di Catona.

On Eurosport, it looked like Visconti zipped over for the points, followed by Astana leading the group. Thats what their caption gave as well.

Visconti started the day on 3 pts in KOM, and ended on 8, so must have got the other 5 from that climb. Aru, Agnoli and Nibali are listed as having 3,2,1 respectively, so again that must have come from the final climb.

I can't find any official confirmation, but would someone mind looking into this tomorrow and amending the points once its been officially confirmed?

Thanks!

I think the points for the final mountain 'Sella di Catona'
1 Visconti
2 Aru
3 Agnoli
have been missed
(may be wrong)

they haven't been missed, they're just not on the results. and nor is the first sprint

when they appear, we'll update

Not to be trusted but sky website says first sprint
1 Tabarre
2 Wauters
3 Boaro
I know you need to wait for official results.
Thanks for hard work

Does anyone know what happened to Cataldo? I saw him struggling on TV and the results show he finished at 19.31.
Would be a big blow to Sky if he is ill or injured.

i think the issue is that the giro's swanky new site simply doesn't work

Backer

six riders score on a giro sprint. although, bizarrely, one of them scores zero 39

Sprint 1

Taborre 8
Wauters 6
Baoro 4
Backer 3
Pantno 2
Bellemakers1

Sprint 2

Backer 8
Baoro 6
Wauters 4
Rodriguez 3
Taborre 2
Bellemakers 1

Oh my giddy aunt I've just realised my team is winning! 36 What is going on?! Now I'm all in a flap about what transfers to make. At least I can be content now for the rest of the season when normal service resumes and I slip back to the bottom of the page. Happy days.

You know it's a low scorer when 42 gives you green 'up' arrows across the board!! Well all except the London Giro table....must be a branch of the Luca Paolini fan club in London somewhere!!

the scores for stage 2 were amended. so it's possible the update left you out of the top ten

I have a question. Not important but I'm just curious. After stage 2 my standard team was lying 7th overall in the purist Giro Comp (as I had made no transfers) so I got a number 2 against my high roller badge (as it was my second top 10). Today My number 2 against the badge has gone. Is this because of the update in scores because of riders being allocated the wrong points meaning I dropped out of the top 10 or because I made transfers for stage 3 so was no longer in purist comp with that team so didn't qualify any longer for high roller in purist comp. Or both? Does this make sense? Just curious how the system works. No big deal either way 39

updating but might require another update, depending on the sprint and mountains... official site results only listing one of each but the stage profile shows two.
