It has been a long weekend of course, cool but dry and sunny across most of the country. Yesterday we were given an extra hour of light in the evening and some quiet roads. So I set off to get plenty of miles in on a mini-tour of north Cheshire: 97.3km – Didsbury, Partington, Dunham Massey, Ashley, Plumley, Goostrey, Wilmslow, Didsbury.
It was definitely easier going west and south on the first half, but it was a deathly struggle getting home heading north east into the cold wind. I could see the snow on the peak district in the distance battering me with Siberian chills. I was quite hot in my winter tights and jacket at 4pm but by 6pm I was glad I had stuck with them.
I’d like to hear all about the your efforts on this last best weekend of the Winter, because it will get hotter, it will.
