Gutted fingers crossed they resolve their issues
Its not just between ASO and Qatar, Its ASO and Eurosport.
So don't expect to see Oman either
Anyone know if this is likely to affect much of eurosports coverage this year
I was kind of expecting the tour down under to be on ES (although to be fair i can't remember what it was on last year) and now no tour of qatar.
Cycling is pretty much the only reason i have eurosport (and the other 30 or so channels you have to get with it on virgin) so if their coverage drops significantly i might just save some money and watch events on the internet when i can.
TDU was on sky last year and is the only race sky show
As for the rest its some kind of contractual disagreement between ASO and Qatar, not that eurosport are wanting to drop coverage, so other races shouldn't be affected
Thanks Good to know
25 minutes till live coverage starts....
Go here http://www.en.aljazeerasport.tv/Live/channel/global
Peloton Watch @PelotonWatch
Not many updates coming out of #TourofQatar but at current race all together.
So everywhere I look it says its currently 1.45 in Qatar, and the stage started at 12.35, yet I cant find any info on how the race is going, official site showing nothing.
Its like trying to draw blood from a stone!
If you are on twitter you can try @cyclingfans . They show loads of live cycling. I watched the world cyclo cross championships last night live, ladies & men's , awesome coverage
If you download the Al Jazeera sports app from iTunes (free). It is being shown on there!
Yeah, its not a world tour race so not all the top teams are there. Only a few get an invite.
No sign of any Garmin riders in the start list on the Fantasy game. Are they giving it a miss??
Apart from the TTT, I reckon my starting lineup will chnage very little...unless my initial picks are useless....but thats unlikely
My Qatar problem is team selection. The TTT is putting a slight spanner in the works.
Daniel Lloyd @daniellloyd1
@GKam84 Unfortunately it won't be shown on Eurosport. You can view it for free online with the Al Jazeera website.
And there's the catch wwfcb....the Global channel is in Arabic....
Cheers TER, I'm going to update it later on unless the official site comes up with anything
I'll call that bloke who's got all those Armstrong DVDs to shift, he has more than enough for each Fantasy Cycling player to have one apiece, we can watch Qatar but play some Phil and Paul seven-in-a-row commentary over it and pretend none of this ever happened...
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA.
The official website is shocking.
Go to the start list....remember it starts on Sunday....
Riders list
The starters are not yet known.
Cyclingfever is normally the most accurate
Kreder now in for VCD
Yeah, a subscription part of their site that doesn't work outside of their region....So even then its not watchable
I don't know what the ASO are playing out, still getting updates from Lloyd and it looks like its a no go, not even highlights
The Al Jazeera player is showing it scheduled for the free channel player as well as the subsciption channel.

Check out their schedule for the 3rd of Feb.
Nah, Kirby's not doing Qatar, its Lloyd and Harmon
Wow!!
Hotline to Carlton Kirby!!
OK, sooner than I thought
Daniel Lloyd @daniellloyd1
@GKam84 Everything sounds like it's up in the air at the moment, will keep you updated.
Ok, I'm on the case, will report back soon
Carlton Kirby, via Twitter, says David Harmon and Dan Lloyd are commentating on it from Sunday but whether or not that is just ESplayer i don't know??
not cool... I always enjoy seeing riders blown off by the wind in Qatar.
Lots of change to the start list too so my squad is pretty fluid at the moment.
Just been on Eurosport web site and Oman is first race being shown!
http://tv.eurosport.co.uk/search.shtml?query=Cycling
Nothing on my sky planner about it.
Its been pulled
