I don’t really know how but I seem to have won the last stage 😕

I actually tried to log on on Sunday morning to change my team but couldn’t get the site to work on my phone and couldn’t be arsed to get out of bed… hopefully this blind luck will carry through into the tour!

Yes, good gamble d_jp, your bold tactic paid off – always good to see! I normally take too many risks, but managed to rein myself in this weekend. Really enjoyed this tour – it was good to have a tough mountain stage so early – made picking the initial line-up a bit more interesting. And not so many TT specialists, so those stages were tough to predict. Thanks for the banter everyone, see you for the TdF…

Well done Chris – definitely well deserved =D>

Really surprised to have got up to second!!! Thought Montaguti would give it a try as he already had a few points in the KoM competition, but yes TERatcliffe I was able to take a risk & got lucky that he managed to make the break that got away…

I also think quite a few people were scuppered with the FDJ team abandoning “en masse” (all except Roy) and that included Pinot who had been going well & earning a few points (& I didn’t have him).

I managed to move back up to 21st, pretty happy with that in the end considering i was already over 100 points off the top after stage 1

Now for the big 1 in two weeks

Yeah, good recovery. I got lucky with Elmiger and Moser in the Prologue, so was up in the top ten pretty much all the way through. Funnily enough, I looked at Roy (among others) for today before realising he wasn’t listed as a DS – would’ve been far too risky to pick him over a star rider!

    Thanks Wig, good job
Thanks Wig, good job yourself. If I’d have got rid of Albasini after the TT it would’ve been very different! Can’t wait for the TdF now, especially with ITV4 coverage as I don’t have Eurosport. Could be a bit of “working from home” going on…

Well done Chris, you finished well ahead of everybody in the end. I’m happy with my podium place – a nice confidence boost before the TdF.

I agree! Occasionally it appears that they’ve adopted some English terms – eg “top ten”, or “breakaway”.
