Ive seen quite a few similar machines when travelling through thailand and malaysia. With aluminium joints (headtube and bottom bracket area) making sizing easy and repairs easy.
nice looking bikes. it's long been noted that bamboo has excellent mechanical properties for a bike, and there's a guy that rides a home made bamboo/carbon machine at bristol bike fest every year (a lot faster than me).
if we can get hold of one to test, then we certainly will.
