I bought a Giant TCX 2 Cyclo-cross bike on the Work’s Halfords Cycle to Work scheme last year

She’s been really good, but there are a few niggles (cantilever brakes, gears, wheels) that mean I am thinking about going back to a road bike on the same scheme this year.

Has anyone already done the research on the sub-£1000 road bike range for 2012? I’m not particularly precious about brands, but would like a bike that has relatively reasonable resale value.

Been looking at the usual suspects: Giant, Felt, Specialized, Focus, Cube, Boardman.

Anyone got any cracking finds?
