    Hello there;
    I have just treated myself to a pair of Sidi genius 5 road shoes (for when my broken wrist mends), but I wanted to know if the standard shimano spd sl cleat bolts, 8mm I think will fit. I might be missing something but in the info book that came with the shoes it says use 10mm bolts, sorry but it’s been a rather long day :/

    Better safe than sorry indeed
    Better safe than sorry indeed –

    This is exactly the ambiguity / misunderstanding that led to the aviation incident where Captain Tim Lancaster ended up being blown out of his plane’s front windscreen.

    Thread diameter / length is worth getting right.

    mine work okay.. same set up
    mine work okay.. same set up as you got.

    i suspect they mean depth/length as opposed to diameter, so 2mm not going to make a big difference.
