Further to the ‘longest feasible commute’, at what point does it become not worth bothering and resorting to Shank’s pony?
I ride in to work a total distance of 0.4 miles, slightly uphill, which takes around two minutes rather than 6/7 minutes walking (walking distance is slightly shorter due to a little cut through). Anyone bother with anything shorter than that?
Main benefit is I can pop home during my half hour lunchtime without using up most of it on the journey. Downside is that I can’t have a go at any segments unlike my old nine-mile commute, I don’t even bother turning Strava on. No changing clothes, don’t need a shower, possibly getting fatter 😉
