11-34 to 11-36 on Shimano 105 2800

Can I swap out the existing 11-34 cassette on my Cannondale Synapse 105 Carbon for a 11-36?  Will I need a larger cage or more links in the chain?

Local hills a bit too strong for me now around Stroud so need a bit of help!

For any future reference, 11-36 would have been fine with a RD-5800 GS without a hanger extender (Wolftooth, SunRace or loads on eBay for buttons) - they'll actually run more than that but the shifting does start to go downhill apparently.

36 is not meant to work but will with a wolf tooth or similar... theres a post on here that goes into lots of detail, but yes, cheap and easy to achieve what you want.

Ah!  Stand fast the front rank!  Just been down to my LBS Ark Cycles at Brimscombe and solved the problem by getting an SI chain set at 46-30 so no need to change the cassette.  Elegant and not too much money.
