General question, are plod likely to have dash cam on most of the time while they are moving?

I can confirm that they are on permently when the vehicle is being driven and parked.

They are recorded to a hard disc located within the vehicle that overwrites after 24 hours.

Anything of an evidential nature is downloaded to dvd and preserved as evidence.

I remember this time when grandpa used to ride motorcycles and the plod were only allowed to book ’em when 2 officers were present. Hence because the plod rode tricycles and the sidecar didn’t turn fast 1 way, they never got booked. Outrun them with circles they did.

I would suggest the answer is

I would suggest the answer is yes as they don’t have to worry about power and it is normally linked to an ANPR system. But if they aren’t officially on duty anymore or getting chips for the station, then maybe not.
