Does anyone ride up near Sellafield? Looking for routes.

    I’m staying up at Sellafield for a few nights soon with work. I was thinking I could take one of my bikes up and do a couple of rides in the evenings, nothing major, 20-30 miles would be perfect. Anyone on here from around there?

    Handy for some lovely scenery

    Handy for some lovely scenery, a few thoughts:

    On a mountain bike, up the Ennerdale valley to Black Sail.  Not too technical and right into the heart of the mountains

     Could ride round to Crummock Water and Buttermere, (but not flat if you go over Fangs Brow.)

    Wasdale head (I’ve not ridden there but I’d love to)

    Up Eskdale To Hardknott (again I’ve not ridden, and likely to be brutal)
