16" wheel girls bike

We need to get my daughter a new bike, as she's grown out of the 12" wheel one she's got.

While I'd like to buy her something lightweight in aluminium from the likes of Frog or Islabikes, all of those, and several more from Trek, Giant and other reputable brands, have been rejected by her as she doesn't like the colours!

The one she really likes is a pale/pastel pink one in Halfords, which is obviously steel and on the heavy side.

I've managed to find a Liv Adore that might be acceptable, but just wondered if there were any other suggestions.

I'd rather get her something she likes and want to ride, but would rather spend a bit more for something quality, as it will likely be passed down to my youngest when she grows out of it.

Thanks in advance.

I got my boy a 500-series 16" bike from decathlon (https://www.decathlon.co.uk/500-astronaut-kids-bike-16-id_8500765.html).  I was really impressed by the short pull brakes. They have girl designs and boy designs. I picked it in white so I can remove the stickers when it gets passed down to my daughter.

I was quite impressed by the weight, another similar bike from Halfords felt as heavy as my adult best bike! As my boy is leaving me for dead when we go out, I'd say it's quite nippy too.

Spray.bike

My 10yr old designed her own scheme, cut her stencils, and we sprayed it together. Looks awesome, and she loves it.

Check this before you made your decision. They have listed some very good bikes for girls. Your daughter might choose one from this list smiley

I've got a slightly bigger Carrera for my daughter with the aluminium frame and I've been pleased with the quality.  I changed the brakes for a basic set of Shimano but that was me being extremely picky.
