Tour of Columbia – What happened to Froome?

    Froome final GC position is 91st, 48:25 behind 1st while Nairo Qintana stands in 5th, 1:04 back. Froomes teammates finish 2nd (Sosa) and 4th (Bernal) respectively. Are Froome’s legs shot? Does he have a chance of a podium finish at the Tour?

    He was in the large part of the peloton that got caught up in a crash right at the start of stage 5 that took a while to sort out – big group, with Froome in, came in about half and hour behind the winner.

    Dont expect any spectacular

    Dont expect any spectacular results from Froome as he leads upto the  TDF.   It his chance to be a great champion., if he isnt already, 5 wins though.

    Results mean nothing at this
    Results mean nothing at this time of year for people aiming for the tour…was probably a glorified training camp for him.

    For Nairo and bernal it was their home tour so a bit more motivation for them…
