Looking for some advice please… i have Shimano 105 chainset with 170mm long crank… I want to go to a 160mm long crank… what options do i have? thanks in advance folks.

They do a 160mm version, I have used the 165 option for years on road and mountain bikes.  You will need a square taper bottom bracket and probably some self extracting chainring bolts but for the price they have got to be worth a try.
