What is that coating on it where the stem connects? I assume some kind of friction coating... painted on or stick on?
My Superzero carbon bars certainly don't have that on; as Nick T mentions, if it's significantly adding to the diameter, that'll likely be the issue.
Any resolution on the warranty replacement?
Probably too much clearcoat sprayed on, warranty, replace etc
That was my first thought.
Rather sad that they went snap - they are lovely bars!
They measured 31.82mm, way over the 31.7mm claimed!
The bar is too big for the stem faceplate to fit around without "biting"

Obvious warping at only 2Nm torque.
