And don't forget the difficulty all of these scofflaws will have when it comes to insurance renewal time.
Not even noticing a fully marked police vehicle, deserve everything they get.
I love winding up the head-bobbers if I see them when I'm driving. Usually just coast down to 5mph until they put their phone down, or failing to keep up with the queue in front messes with their expectations and usually gets their attention back on the road.
Great comments there - only the one or two saying it's picking on motorists.
Maybe the tide is turning ? Even drivers see other drivers on the phone - it's never a good idea.
Have you read the comments? First ones are, as is usual on the Post, "But why are the police picking on mobile-using motorists when cyclists ride through red lights and ride on the pavement?"
When I looked at the comments, they were largely lambasting the motorists. I'm scared to go and look again.
Maybe I read it wrong - I thought it was comments saying "Yeah, but..." followed by some decent responses. Doesn't excuse the Bristol Post "Yeah, but..." crowd, in my mind.
There's only one comment like that currently, the first one, and it's ironic (re Bristol Post bingo card).
You're right. I need more coffee...
Ha, ha. That warms the cockles of my evil heart!
