In light of some interest for some World Champs fantasy games on the forums, here is the thread for the men’s ITT happening Wednesday, the 26th. Just comment here with you team of 8 riders using a budget of 150 and I’ll lock the entries in before kick-off.

Rider values will be based on previous years worlds perfomances and results this year (37 most expensive, 3 cheapest), and scoring will be based on a standard 1 day race, 50 for the win down to 1 for 20th. 10 points as well for last place. No team bonuses.

Andy, think of the children! 🙂 Their eyes fixed on the television set [or computer screen], hoping their hero scores them the big points they need to win this competition! 🙂 …

    Wow.  Watching the

Wow.  Watching the hightlights is always better when you’ve picked a team but that was close.  I’ll gladly take a first win of the season though! blush

Thanks for organising Andy and fingers crossed you get chance to work out the road race?

    P.s.  I’d like to thank my agent……

I just made them up on the

I just made them up on the fly. I tried to make it tricky, no obvious picks (apart from the top 2). I used PCS to look at results from this year and previous WC results as well. Martin Toft Madsen has been racing at conti level for 4 years so there are no comparisons with WT riders apart from the national championships. He came 21st last year and 13th the year before so he was never going to be expensive.

Thank you, Andy! Great fun! Were you able to use the game engine to set values or did you just come up with them on your own? Fantastic job! 🙂 Looking forward to the Mens Elite Race! Thanks again! 🙂

The results are in and it’s a win for Gecko-cyclist! Here are the results in full:

    1. Gecko-cyclist – 134
    2. Sniffer – 126
    3. Enrique – 125
    4. Condor Andy – 123
    5. Triccky100 – 120
    6. MinardiM189 – 116
    7. kmnaegeli – 115

Super close everyone, seems the picks for Martin Toft Madsen swung the results in the end. No picks for Kwiatkowski or Campenaerts either, and only one for Oliveira. The best team to pick would have been this:

    • Dennis
    • Dumoulin
    • Campenaerts
    • Madsen
    • Bevin
    • Oliveira
    • Christopher (the Virgin Islands dude, can’t believe I didn’t thin about who would finish last! He was the nailed on favourite)
    • Any zero point scoring other 3 pointer.

This would have netted 175 points. So cheers for playing! and I’ll see what I can do for Sunday. (Can’t promise anything)
