650b knobbly tyre recommendation please

Currently running 700c Gravelking SKs but they're not really up to the job on stickier stuff.

Thinking of going 650b, what tyre would you recommend? 47mm is the maximum I can fit - WTB Horizons and Byways are probably not knobbly enough to make a difference. Good puncture protection preferred - use case is forest tracks - mix of gravel and chalky clay with occasionally sticky bits.

Continental Double Fighters (27.5"x2.0" or 700x38mm*). Have them on on a vintage MTB, and gravel hybrid. Fast, tough, grippy and happy with all really wet mud. For that I'd be going full knobbly and putting suitable cross tyres on.

* the official size is '28x1 3/8 x 1 5/8', which makes no sense to me, so translated to metric.
