Currently running 700c Gravelking SKs but they’re not really up to the job on stickier stuff.

Thinking of going 650b, what tyre would you recommend? 47mm is the maximum I can fit – WTB Horizons and Byways are probably not knobbly enough to make a difference. Good puncture protection preferred – use case is forest tracks – mix of gravel and chalky clay with occasionally sticky bits.

    Continental Double Fighters

Continental Double Fighters (27.5″x2.0″ or 700x38mm*). Have them on on a vintage MTB, and gravel hybrid. Fast, tough, grippy and happy with all really wet mud. For that I’d be going full knobbly and putting suitable cross tyres on.

    * the official size is ’28×1 3/8 x 1 5/8′, which makes no sense to me, so translated to metric.
